It is well known for the Sri Pada, which in Buddhist tradition is held to be the footprint of the Buddha, in Hindu tradition that of Shiva and in Islamic and Christian tradition that of Adam, or that of St. Thomas.” (Wikipedia)
PILGRIMAGE TO ADAM'S PEAK - ITINERARY
| Day 1 | Leave from Negombo to Adam's Peak around 2.00pm.(Journey will take around 4-5 hours) Arrive at the guest house at 7.30pm. Dinner time. Getting refreshed, relax and small naps. (Since we have to start the pilgrimage at midnight we highly recommend you to take some naps while you can) |
| Day 2 | Starting the hike at 1.00am in the morning. Reach to summit around 5.30am in the morning. (Customer has to buy their preferred snacks and soft drinks as they want. Ceylon Max Travels will not charge for any snacks and soft drinks the customer buy.) Enjoy the famous sunrise from the top of Adam's Peak in the morning. Do the traditional activities on the top of Adam's Peak. Start the descending around 8.00am. Reach the starting point around 12.00pm. Head back to hometown. |
